Wilmington Historical Society “Open Discussions”
---We would love to have you join us!

Below is a list of our Wilmington Historical Society meeting "Open discussions" for 2008. We meet the FIRST WEDNESDAY OF EACH MONTH. Our “Open Discussions” will take place at 7 p.m. before the business portion of each regular meeting, and will last about 45 minutes to an hour. You are all invited to relate stories, bring news articles, photos or artifacts related to the topic of each meeting. Or… you can just come to listen!

March 5 (Wed.): “Historic Homes in Wilmington”

April 2 (Wed): “Aviation History in Wilmington”

May 7 (Wed.): "Lumbering & Sawmills in Wilmington"

June 4 (Wed.):"Extreme Weather & Natural Disasters in Wilmington"

July 2 (Wed.): "Wilmington in World War II”

August 6 (Wed.): "Markhamville (now Haselton)”

September 3 (Wed): "Growing Up in Wilmington”

October 1 (Wed.):"Boarding Houses, Tourist Cottages, Hotels & Motels in Wilmington"
